Want to see what we got up to at my Mixed Media WOW class? Look no further! It was a lot of fun, a bit messy but I think everyone loves what they have done! My WOW classes are normally run monthly (except during Retreat months) and are designed so you make something that makes you go WOW!

Mixed Media WOW Class

This started out as a plain piece of chipboard, it was also the backing from a pack of 6 x 8 Variety pages for our Memories & More albums! I prepared it with Gesso which you can get from any good art shop or online. This stops the ink soaking into the chipboard too much and gives a really great surface to sponge onto. As a result you get good colour definition. One tip though, the ink will take a long time to dry because Gesso is not porous, so bear with it! If you prefer not to wait you can also purchase white chipboard which doesn’t need any prep. I did that too so everyone could choose what to use on the day and have something to take home too. I gave them a whole bunch of embellishments and let them play! They had a LOT of fun!

You can create this home decor piece easily with lots of sponging, stencilling and stamping. The dimension is provided by Wooden Elements, Ribbon and buttons. Plus use the Circle punches to make great 3D flower elements, just crunch them in your hand for a while to get a suede effect. I then sponge them with Shimmer Paint for a hint of glimmer! I also stamped my Butterfly to match my floral swirl design! These wooden butterfly elements are FREE with Sale-a-bration when you spend more than £45 online today!

This is such a change to my normal simple stamping style, but it’s nice to go different once in a while!
