Weather Together Card Fun

Happy Tuesday morning folks, today I’m sharing a card I made with the Weather Together stamp set. Umbrellas are on trend this year, and Stampin’ Up! has them nailed with 2 sets featuring the umbrella shape and a set of framelit dies to match!

I just love the fact they’ve thought about all those little details that really make their framelits and stamps special. You can see how the framelit puts creases into the umbrella shape, so you get that classic rib shaping. Pop a Stampin’ Dimensional under the main umbrella and wet glue around the edge to get the curve & dimension! The colours are Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum – yummy!!!!

Weather Together card Instructions:

• Soft Sky card stock (European A4 size) cut in half at 14.9 cm (long edge to the top of your trimmer).
• Sweet Sugarplum card stock cut to 14.4 cm x 10 cm
• Stamp the Umbrella from the Weather Together stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it out using the Umbrella Framelits
• Stamp the handle in Sweet Sugarplum onto a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 8 x 6.5 cm and add flowers in Soft Sky around the base and also where the umbrella top will open. I love the idea of an umbrella holding flowers! Attach the umbrella now as I explained above.
• Mat the Whisper White onto Soft Sky card stock 8.5 x 7 cm
• Add some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon and Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon as banners along the top left hand edge of the Soft Sky topper. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 2 cm x 7 cm and cut the end using the Triple Banner punch (or by hand). Stamp the words Celebrate in Sweet Sugarplum and again add some flowers in Soft Sky to finish it off.
