Like what you see?

Over the past weeks I shared quite a few water colour tutorials and here is another one for you. I call this my Free Hand Water Colour Moon! I wanted to do this since I saw a video by Understand Blue. She made her moon with water colour paints, so I immediately wanted to do it with inks! So, today I thought I’d share a quick video on how you can use the Stampin’ Up! inks to make these beautiful moons. They give a lovely sense of relaxation, or you could decide to change it up completely and turn this into the backdrop for a halloween card!

Watch the video and see how easy it is to create these beautiful moon faces.

The interesting thing is that colours change. Night of Navy is revealed to have some red in it, because it changes to a purple hue. In the same way the Pretty Peacock has a green tone. I love seeing the colours reveal their inner secrets! You can of course not just do a free hand water colour moon, you can do a sun too if you prefer with yellows and oranges instead. I would recommend a Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody with touches of Pumpkin Pie for a full Autumn sun. Just think of the through the seasons adaptations you could make with just this one simple technique.
