Look how cute this sweet cup shaker is! I just cannot stop shaking it!!!  My project sprang from my Love & Friendship Sampler I showed off last week. When I was cutting out the top left hand corner element, I was left with a handfull of different sized hearts. Umm what to make with those I thought. Then the Sweet Cups arrived and as soon as I saw the lid I knew a Shaker was coming up!

Sweet Cup Shaker for Valentine’s Day

I’m so happy with how this turned out, exactly like I wanted it to! I love it when that happens. It all aligned just right! This photo is a little dark, but it shows you the size of the cups nicely!

So, under the top layer of hearts and sentiments is some Window Sheet, and under that are the hearts and the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet which you get FREE with Sale-a-bration. I know this week was supposed to be all about floral designs, but I just had to share this with you now in case you wanted to make your own before Valentine’s Day!

You’ll need the Sweet Cups and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, along with the Layering Circle Framelits. That way you can make the circle frame for the top holding the Window Sheet (acetate) in place. Stick down the foil circle first. Then surround with Foam Strips. Fill with hearts (not too many). Pop on the top and you have a shaker! Just decorate with more hearts and you get a wonderful result.  1 tip, don’t try to cut the Window Sheet using your framelit, yikes! Just draw round it with a pen and cut it out with scissors. It doesn’t have to be perfect as the edge will be hidden. As a result you can get away with a few shaky edges!
