Like what you see?

Good morning – it’s the last Saturday in the month, and that means it’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop time, and since it’s the end of January we decided to use the theme Love this month in all its forms to showcase the Stampin’ Up! product range and our very own creativity! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I joined this amazing crew of talented ladies, and if you’ve joined me from Kim I KNOW you’ll have been spoilt with her Love creations!

Bloomin Love BundleSo, what did I decide to showcase? Well, yes I decided to go with the Love Blossom’s Suite which includes the gorgeous Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit dies, but I wanted to share a card that would be for a friend who was having a birthday, rather than a typical “romatic love”.

Bloomin Love 1I chose Pool Party as my colour scheme and I cut the entire shape out of the card front, then tried to work out how to glue it back in again in Very Vanilla! I finally decided to use some Washi tape on the back & cover it up with the heart I’d cut out from the front and an overlay piece of card! It looks ok, but was fiddly – not the die which when I used the new Big Shot Die Brush was a doddle to use – the sticking it together straight!

Bloomin Love 2Anyway, I think I managed it – and with the matching framelits from the Number of Years bundle which cuts out the banner, and some of the new Bermuda Bay ribbon, I was chuffed with my results. The next photo shows how you can stamp on the image with the flowers in the set – for which I used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party again. I will be making a lot more cards with this die I can tell, it’s so delicate I just love it – and I hope you do too! I would possibly put another colour inside the card, but I like the fact that when you first see it, it looks like it’s stuck on top of the card, until you open it and can see through it – so I was torn – and decided to leave it as it is for now!

Bloomin Love 3So that’s my Love project shared, if you’d like to purchase any of the items used to make this card please see the images below and if your order comes to £45 don’t forget to pick your free Sale-a-bration item and you’ll go on my Sales Smashers Board – PLUS use this month’s Giveaway code and get some FREE Enamelled It’s My Party dots too!

Love how the heart is inlaid in the space – very effective! And the colour is so fresh and totally changes this card from romantic to platonic – love it!
