Like what you see?

Well I hope you’ve had a great week? The weather has certainly taken a turn into Autumn! Wet & windy is not the word for some of the days we’ve had. Today I was going to post about something totally different, but one of my customers was inspired by my blog post last week to send me a photo of what she made with a Gold theme – so I thought it only right to do a Going for Gold Again post to share her make and another Gold themed card I made this summer.

So these are the gorgeous little chocolate holder table gifts she made for her mum & dad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary – are they not just so cute and yummy – and the chocolates are not bad either!

Anniversary Favours by MVI think they are brilliant, and I can see the SU products she used – some Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper from last year and the Large Curly Label punch (sadly now retired). Some gorgeous Gold Glitter paper and I think that’s Shimmer White card stock too! Cute gold ribbon (SU’s Gold Ribbon Trim would work just as well). She did a good job I think, and I’d have been very happy to have one of those at my party!

Her email reminded me that I also hadn’t shared the 50th Wedding Anniversary card I made from all the “kids” to our aunt & uncle whose party we attended just 2 weeks ago. My sister-in-law got hold of the photo from their wedding day, and we went all gold & vanilla. You can tell I made it & then had to get it straight out to my sister-in-law who was going to deliver it – no time for any normal mushroom photo studio pics!

50th Wedding Anniversary CardWhat do you think? Thankfully they were very pleased to receive it, so that was good! I love making anniversary cards, next year is a big one for me & the other half (although not 50 years yet!). I’ll have to get something special designed for that one or he’ll have words! Speaking of words, I love the sentiments from this year’s Timeless Love stamp set. I haven’t even spoken about the beautiful flower images that are also in the set – I just couldn’t get them incorporated into this design – although I used the really small ones on the photo and on the sentiment tag. The gold satin ribbon is scrummy and the gold vellum and embossed wording comes up a treat – I did use some of our retired Gold card stock because I love it so much and some retired numbers on the Sweetheart punched gold card.

50th Wedding Anniversary close upSo, have you got any special anniversaries or parties / birthdays coming up? What are you making for them? I’d love to hear about them all and see your creations. Leave a comment below or email your makes and I could feature them here in future postings or pop them on my Gallery page where all my customers images get uploaded.
