Stampin Up Big Shot Party

Like what you see?

Party Project Watercolour and BigshotHappy Saturday night everyone, today’s post shows off the card I designed for my latest Stampin’ Up! Party. The hostess wanted to do some Big Shot work and also some watercolouring. So I chose to use the Secret Garden stampset because it lends itself so beautifully to the watercolour technique AND because it has a set of matching framelits that makes it easy to put out the completed flower and matching leaves.

The colour combination is Island Indigo base and ink for the words from the Feel Goods stampset, with Wisteria Wonder Designer Series Paper and ink matched with Primrose Petals for the actual watercolouring.

I also used the Petite Petals bundle to show off the larger flower from the Secret Garden set. A spot of Dazzling Details and it was done!

As my demonstration I took the ladies through all of the things you can buy to use with the Big Shot, from BigZ dies, Embosslits, Framelits and Embossing Folders I demonstrated them all, along with the correct tab to use for each. Sometimes the Big Shot can be a little intimidating for people who are new to crafting, but once you see how easy it can be and what amazing results you can get, you’ll be hooked – like me!

I hope you like today’s inspiration, if you’d like to learn more about the Big Shot or Watercolouring then get in touch to host your own party or to book onto a class.

Tomorrow will be my Simply Stylish class and I’ll post up the photo’s of the cards I’ve designed tomorrow, so keep watching for some more inspiration.

Happy weekend and have a great week of stamping fun!

Thanks, PIp
