How To Make A Gorgeous Baby Album Fast

This month I’ve been working a fair bit with NCT Woking, I was at their fabulous Summer Fair at the start of August and last week I held a home party for one of the organisers chatting about how to make a gorgeous baby album fast! In fact any album fast!

Gorgeous Baby AlbumI was sharing the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! memory keeping and photo organising system to quickly and easily get those photos out of the phone, camera, cloud, pc etc and into a gorgeous baby album that would make a great gift, but also works to make sure you keep those photos safe. To decorate the front cover I cut a piece of Daffodil Delight 8″ x 3″ and a piece from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper Pack 8″ x 6″ and layered them onto the front cover, I then wrapped a piece of Mint Macaron ribbon around the front cover & tied it on the front. I stuck down one of the 3″ x 3″ cards from the kit and used the wooden element from the Accessory Pack to finish.

(Sorry for the blurring folks on these images, but the mum in question doesn’t want her baby photos out there – which I’m totally cool with – she happy with blurring though, so I can still share the layout and photo ideas).

Gorgeous Baby Album Page 1
This photo was portrait in shape, but slightly too large for the individual pockets – so I cut it up and popped it into two of them!

This album was great fun to do, it used the Baby Boy Card Collection and Accessory Pack and the 6 x 8″ Espresso Album.

Sometimes the card words are just right for the photo!

Print out those photos, get some page protectors, and pop your photos and matching cards into the pockets. It’s that simple! Don’t worry if your photos are portrait & the pockets are landscape – chop the photo so they fit. You don’t need all that extra image of the room, floor, sky, toys etc – you really just need your gorgeous baby!

How to Make Photos Fit in your Gorgeous Baby Album

These next two pages show you that you don’t have to just use the right size photos to fit. Don’t be scared to crop down or chop up your photos – the gaps between the pockets are small, and really don’t show up when your brain looks at the layouts – it sees the whole image and ignores the rest. Be brave, they’re only 3-5p to reprint if you really, really make a mistake!

Gorgeous Baby Album Page 3
And then there were two!

Baby sister arrived – but the yellows and mints in the kit work brilliantly for either a boy or a girl I think!

In this page I’ve cut a 6″ x 4″ photo into 4 so that it can fit on the page – you can still see the impact of the whole image, and you can surround it by coordinating cards, I used Washi to stick the photos down, but you can also use our glues too – soooo cute!

Buy your products now by clicking this link or any of the images below. These were made for the 6 x 8″ album, but you could easily make it for a larger size if you preferred, I just think these are easier for a first time scrapbooker to use.

2 More Christmas Card Ideas

Welcome back to Queen Pip Cards, following my Blog Hop yesterday, I’m back with 2 more Christmas Card Ideas but this time, I’m using the Limited Edition Thoughtful Branches stamp set! Buy your stamp set now by clicking this link.

2 More Christmas Card Ideas

2 more Christmas Card IdeasThis set has some brilliant tree images in it, so I decided to pair the pine tree image with Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Delightful Dijon to give a gold tone to the cards.  The snow and tree trunk are stamped in Soft Suede. A bit of Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder work and there you go! This card uses the very trendy cut wording technique, which means you don’t have to stamp straight, wonky is good and you can make virtually any sentence you want using any sentiment stamps you have!

I did the basic version above and then a stepped up version, this time using some more card stock and the 5/8″ (1.6 cm) Mini Striped Ribbon in Delightful Dijon to give it a more luxury feel!

2 more Christmas Card Ideas

I just went for plain old Happy Christmas as a great basic sentiment, this time stamping it straight onto a piece of Very Vanilla and added some Linen Thread and Gold Metallic Thread for some background interest.

2 more Christmas Card IdeasThe principles of both cards are the same, but I think they have a different look and feel about them, you could incorporate the trendy word cutting technique into the more stepped up version too – it’s entirely up to you! I think you’ll agree though, that tree certainly looks Christmasy!

Buy your set of stamps now by clicking this link or the product images below for any of the items used here today. Don’t forget to use the Monthly Giveaway code to get a FREE gift in the post from me next month as a thank you. REMEMBER this set is ONLY available until 31st August!

So until next time, I hope you’ve enjoyed the 2 more Christmas card ideas I’ve brought you today! Happy crafting, hugs, Pip x

If you want to know more about my Christmas Craft Retreat then just click this link, it will open a new page, so you won’t lose your Blog Hop place!

Christmas Card Ideas Banners for Christmas PI love the Banners for Christmas stamp set because it can be used on its own, but also has a coordinating set of framelits that makes for such easy cutting out of the fancy banners and scrolls! This first card is really simple and could easily be a card that could be made quickly and with mass production in mind, so that everyone on your friends or family list can get a beautiful hand made card this year!

Christmas Card Ideas Banners for Christmas SmlThe banners in this set are great, but so are the big stamps of mistletoe and a candy cane. I can see this one being used a lot this year, it’s £23 for the set and you get 16 photopolymer stamps with 2 banner shapes, 2 large images and lots and lots of words which can be mixed and matched to create your perfect sentiment.  You can’t buy the Banners for Christmas stamp set yet, but you can order the Bunch of Banners Framelits to get you started and they can also be purchased as a bundle with another great stamp set for all occasions “Banners for You”! Click this link to purchase your bundle now and you’ll be all set to just top up with your Banners for Christmas when the catalogue goes live on 1st September!

More Christmas Card Ideas

I’ve made another more snazzy card here which also shows how this set could be used with the Everyday Jars framelits! I loved the idea of candy canes in a jar, waiting to be eaten! I couldn’t resist it and I hope you like it too! This one would not be great for mass production, because it does take longer, but it would be great to make for your extra special friends and family!

Christmas Card Ideas Banners for Christmas 4 PThe colours are Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler, with Gold as my accent. The twine comes in a three pack with one reel of each colour! The neutral is of course Very Vanilla which gives it a great warm feel. The paper is the Christmas one in the Annual Catalogue, because I love the fact it’s thinner than normal, so it doesn’t add bulk when you’re doing shaker or dimensional cards. All the products currently available (including that bundle) are listed below for easy purchasing. Just click and go straight to that item in my Shop.

Stampin Creative 2016 LogoSo, let’s hop over now to Emma and see what she’s been up to with the new catalogue and what Christmas Card Ideas she has in store, I’m sure they’ll be fabulous!
