A Pretty Merry Christmas Card Idea

Happy Tuesday folks, a quick card today using the Merriest Wishes stamp set and Merry Tag Framelit dies (that come as a bundle if you want to save 10%) to give you a Merry Christmas Card Idea! The Be Joyful stamp fits the plan tag framelit perfectly. The Designer Series Paper used is the This Christmas Speciality pack. Speciality because you get 4 sheets not 2 of each design and they are thinner than normal – great for lots of layering without adding bulk!

The trio Bakers Twine pack is fab value with 3 rolls each 22 metres long; one Garden Green, one Cherry Cobbler and one Gold (lush!). A metallic shape to add a bit of sparkle and to match the Sparkle Embossing Folder just finishes this off.

Merry Christmas Card Idea

  1. Cut Garden Green cardstock (European A4 size) 10.5cm x A4 width (short edge at top of trimmer) and score / fold at 14.9cm.
  2. Cut a piece of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper 14.4 cm x 10 cm.
  3. Cut a piece of Mint Macaron card stock 13.9 x 9.5 cm and run through the Sparkle Embossing Folder.
  4. Stamp Snow in Mint Macaron (stamped off first) and then stamp Be Joyful in Garden Green onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
  5. Stamp the smallest bauble shape in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla card stock & cut out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch or use the framelit & cut off the loop at the top.
  6. Cut out the baubles in Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil and card stock.
  7. Cut out the Gold Glimmer bow using the Pretty Pines thinlit dies or just tie a Gold twine bow instead.
  8. Tie on the strings & twine bows.
  9. Layer up – put some baubles flat to the card stock and others layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Assemble the card and add your Metallic Enamel Star as your final step.

My husband called this a very “grown up” card, which I’m taking to be a good thing! Certainly everyone seems to like this Merry Christmas card idea!

I’ll be back again on Thursday to share some more card ideas with you. If you’d like to purchase the products to make this card, just click the links below. Happy crafting! Hugs, Pip x

Cozy Critters Card Idea for You from Me

A really quick post today as I’ve been back to back and not finished my online class yet!! So today I’m sharing a Cozy Critters Card Idea with you. I love this Host set from the new Autumn / Winter Catalogue (those two stamp sets on the first page!)

Cozy Critters Card IdeaYou can use this set for either Christmas or Birthday and in this card I left the sentiment off so you can choose which it’s for! Because the stamps are photopolymer you can see where you are stamping. This card uses a favourite colour combination of mine Sweet Sugarplum and Wisteria Wonder. There are 10 stamps in the set. You get branches, baubles, a present, the Owl and Fox, plus a hat. It’s great because it coordinates with THREE punches we have; the ever popular Owl Punch, the Fox Builder Punch and the new Jolly Hat Builder Punch although this card just uses stamped images.

Cozy Critters Card Idea

I don’t normally share Host Sets but this one really does need to be seen because it’s so cute! Use the Sparkle Embossing folder for some texture on the base layer and the Sweet Sugarplum Glitter ribbon and the star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack really give it a bit of glitz.

Cozy Critter Card IdeaYou can’t buy this stamp set on it’s own, you can only purchase it with Host Rewards. These Host sets are exclusive and only available to orders (either your own or when combined in a party order) that are over £150 before shipping. It’s a bargain though, because you earn 10% back on £150 order, which gives you £15 and this set is valued at £14 but only costs you £9 in Host Rewards!!!! You have another £6 to spend on something else! Stampin’ Up! really does spoil our hosts.

So how can you get the Cozy Critters stamp set for yourself?

  • Place a £150+ order (before shipping) and but it for just £9

Weather Together Card Fun to Try!

Weather Together Card Fun

Happy Tuesday morning folks, today I’m sharing a card I made with the Weather Together stamp set. Umbrellas are on trend this year, and Stampin’ Up! has them nailed with 2 sets featuring the umbrella shape and a set of framelit dies to match!

Weather Together small imageI just love the fact they’ve thought about all those little details that really make their framelits and stamps special. You can see how the framelit puts creases into the umbrella shape, so you get that classic rib shaping. Pop a Stampin’ Dimensional under the main umbrella and wet glue around the edge to get the curve & dimension! The colours are Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum – yummy!!!!
If you have the stamps and framelits, give this card a go at home (if you want them – buy from my shop, they come as a bundle with 10% off!)

Weather Together card Instructions:

  • Soft Sky card stock (European A4 size) cut in half at 14.9 cm (long edge to the top of your trimmer).
  • Sweet Sugarplum card stock cut to 14.4 cm x 10 cm
  • Stamp the Umbrella from the Weather Together stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it out using the Umbrella Framelits
  • Stamp the handle in Sweet Sugarplum onto a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 8 x 6.5 cm and add flowers in Soft Sky around the base and also where the umbrella top will open. I love the idea of an umbrella holding flowers! Attach the umbrella now as I explained above.
  • Mat the Whisper White onto Soft Sky card stock 8.5 x 7 cm
  • Add some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon and Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon as banners along the top left hand edge of the Soft Sky topper. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 2 cm x 7 cm and cut the end using the Triple Banner punch (or by hand). Stamp the words Celebrate in Sweet Sugarplum and again add some flowers in Soft Sky to finish it off.

Weather Together large imageMaybe you could try this with a card you’ve made – change it up & see how it looks!
