How To Make Gift Boxes You Will Love

I love the fact Stampin’ Up! shares product videos with us. Today Donna shows us how to make gift boxes you will love to use this Christmas for all your packaging! It’s so simple, and uses the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper which you might overlook. You could use this for Christmas or Birthday packaging, so don’t think you have to use it all right now!

See that template in the video? I have got you covered – scroll down after watching & download it from me for FREE because I know how handy that’s going to be for you!!!

Isn’t that great? Did you like how Donna cut one slightly smaller so you can see the base card – I really like that look. They look very professional and so smart. You’d pay a lot for a box like that.  In fact this video is packed full of brilliant tips – like how to change your grip with the Fast Fuse to make it easier to use, how to make any custom size box & lid, and how to make a Tassel from Baker’s Twine in the pop out video!!

What does Queen Pip Cards Do? It’s all about me!

All about me at Greet & Grow EventHello friends. Today is all about me! Well really it’s all about you but it starts with being all about me! This week I shared what I do at a local event put together by local companies who are not in shops I had such an amazing response! It made me realise, however, that I probably haven’t shared what I do with you recently and thought, now is a good time to remedy that and answer this question. What does Queen Pip Cards do?

I help you to create beautiful things using ink, paper and stamps.

Some people I met last week didn’t know what stamping was. You may be paper crafters but have never stamped before either, and so it’s worth explaining the process! Stamping means taking an image  and using ink to transfer that image onto card stock.

What Does Queen Pip Cards Do Stamp TypesIt’s like the old printing presses of newspapers – images are inked up and stamped onto paper. Today of course we have thousands of wonderful images from Stampin’ Up! to choose from, meaning we can create truly unique designs for our cards and projects. We also have two types of stamps made from either red rubber or photo-polymer.

At the event I was displaying my creations and chatting to people about crafting & stamping. At first they didn’t really understand what I was talking about, they were more interested in whether my cards were for sale, they assumed they were! In fact, they loved my cards which was so nice to hear. This was one of their favourites!

Once they understood that I want THEM to stamp they were keen to have a go. Do you want to have a go too? Stampin’ Up! and I do all the design work, and you can just follow along. Make 5 cards for £12 in 2 hours once a month on a Sunday or Monday afternoon at my Simply Stylish class. Everything is prepared for you, so it’s a really good starter session. I do have lots of experienced card makers though who come for the 2 hours of “me time” they get! So it’s a great mix.

Stampin Creative Trick or Treat Blog Hop

Trick or TreatWhoop whoop, it’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop time again, and this time it’s a Trick or Treat theme!! Now we don’t normally do Halloween a lot round my way, I had a couple of parties as a child, and then that was pretty much it. As we don’t have our own kids we have never got into the swing of things, but I have to say I do love all the ghoulies and ghosties and wee wicked beasties that I see all over the place. They are kinda cute! If you’ve hopped over today from Caro welcome, just click the Next image at the bottom of this post to hop around. I’m sure you’ve been inspired already, and there’s more to come! We have a GUEST stamper with us today too, Danielle from the Netherlands – we’re going International!!

Trick or Treat

I love the fact there are so many coordinating products in the Autumn / Winter catalogue. One of the best bundles is Cookie Cutter Christmas & Builder Punch – but there’s more. Did you spot the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamps too? They match the punch as well! Double trouble for your bubble! (sorry got a little carried away there!) You can stamp and punch out to your hearts content, but sometimes you don’t need to punch – stamping is cool on its own.

Stampin Creative Trick or Treat LFor this card, I took the Mummy image, and turned it into a bandaged up person, so it looks like it’s someone who’s poorly. So my trick is that it’s not a mummy it’s someone who needs some Love and Get Well wishes!

Stampin Creative Trick or TreatCute isn’t he? The colours work really well together don’t you think? Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach with a bit of the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper under the topper.  The wording is from my go to set Designer Tin of Cards!

Stampin Creative 2016 LogoIf you’d like to add these to your shopping basket, then click the links below or go to My Shop. Before you go shopping though, hop on over to Sarah (click here or the image) and see what she has in store for us in her Trick or Treat cupboard!

Enjoy the hop, below is the full list if you get stuck. Come back and shop for your wishlist! Crafty hugs, Pip x

Jar of Hearts Song Inspiration from Christina Perri

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a card inspired by the song by Christina Perri – Jar of Hearts. I was listening to the song on YouTube and the video gave me the smoky inspiration of hearts escaping from a jar of hearts! So of course I turned to our own bundle Jar of Love to recreate what my head was imagining!

I couldn’t decide on Sweet Sugarplum or Smoky Slate so I made both. I think the Sweet Sugarplum just edges it. What do you think?

What’s your favourite? Comment below to tell me! I used the Labeler Alphabet (US spelling – I know!) set to create my own greeting – I love the fact you get more than one of some of the letters to help with longer words or combinations!

Jar of Hearts Sweet Sugarplum 2Isn’t it strange sometimes how your head and your crafting just get together and come up with something out of no where – I’m pretty glad they did! The smoke was made by using a Sponge Dauber to swirl the ink across the page. The hearts were stamped multiple times before reinking to give the different colours. The background paper is from Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper, I think it’s a perfect fit with the colours and design.

You can buy the Jar of Love (as it’s officially known) bundle in my shop. Click any of the links below to purchase the items used.

When you purchase online from my shop you can receive an extra thank you gift from me by entering the Monthly Giveaway Code at Checkout. Don’t use it if you are spending over £150 – keep all rewards for yourself.
